We believe passionately that God has called us to be active participants in creating God’s kingdom on earth.  That kingdom is marked by love, grace, mercy, inclusion, kindness and compassion.  So we are constantly seeking out ways to make our little corner of the world a better place.

We are a congregation of the Southeastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and as such we seek to be a place that all people are welcomed, regardless of their race, backgrounds, economics, sexual orientation, or any other barrier that may inhibit someone from experiencing God’s grace.  This denominational affiliation allows us to be part of local, national and international ministries that feed the poor, help people in times of natural disasters, speak up on behalf of the voiceless and marginalized and much more.

In addition we work closely with local non-profits who are doing the good work of ministry in our neighborhood.  We love the good people at the East Nashville Cooperative Mission, Love on East and  Lutheran Services of Tennessee and take great pride in our continued efforts to partner with them to do and be Gospel in East Nashville.  We share our facility with other congregations, like The Local Church in an effort to maximize our resources and extend them as far as possible.
